BMW Mottorad

This is how you build a superbike!
The BMW S 1000 RR. MSRP $13,950.

When we build a superbike, we have no time for second best. We now present the very latest in racing power. With an aluminium bridge, radial brakes, a super sporty tail-up nose-down design, hot colours and the ultimate combination of electronic rider assistance systems: the first genuine racing ABS, whose features include a front-wheel-only mode, dynamic traction control (DTC) which permits varying degrees of slip, depending on the lean angle. Never before was it so easy to keep so much power under control. This is just as true on public roads as it is down on the racetrack. The RR label shows that it is a full-blooded racing bike, even though it can also be ridden with a number plate attached. To top it all off is an engine which is our absolute pride and joy. And our motorsports team agree wholeheartedly.

BMW Motorcycles of Orlando

Orlando shifted to a new, larger location last month, adding two new product lines and more than doubling its workforce.

The dealership moved from its 3,500-square-foot dealership on South Orange Blossom Trail to the 9,000-square-foot former Fields BMW Service Center on Futures Road, near South John Young Parkway and Sand Lake Road. With the larger space, the dealership added Ducati and Triumph Motorcycles to its offerings and grew from six employees at the former location to 14 at the new store.

BMW Motorcycles moves into space that was previously being used as a temporary showroom by Orlando Mini, which was building a new $3 million, 23,000-square-foot Mini dealership on 3 acres nearby, as previously reported by Orlando Business Journal.

BMW Motorcycles of Orlando, which also owns BMW Motorcycles of Daytona Beach, sells mostly new high-end motorcycles, along with some pre-owned.

New BMW 5 series

A new BMW vehicle has been introduced onto the Ghanaian market by Mechanical Lloyd Company Limited, a car dealing company in Ghana.

The new BMW 5 Series saloon comes with special features that seek to enhance driving experience and driver orientation.

They are a 360 degree camera view on screen, park assistance system, in-car internet access, an i-pod management system and a BMW night vision that provides safety at night.

The rest are an integral power active steering and a rear wheel steering, a four-level adaptable chassis set-up, a 50/50 weight distribution, an up to 8-speed automatic transmission, a brake energy regeneration and a very durable engine.

Launching the product in Accra yesterday, the General Manager for Sales and Marketing-of Mechanical Lloyd Company Limited, Mr Morkporkpor Adim, said the company had represented BMW in Ghana since 1970.

He also indicated that the company invested heavily in infrastructural, technological and human resource development with the aim of being the best in the luxury segment.

He stated that the new BMW 5 Series saloon was well manufactured to meet the present and future needs of customers.
